Mr. Tedder joined Palmetto Commercial Real Estate in July 2006 and was named Vice President in 2015. David came to the Palmetto Commercial Team with extensive experience in recreational property, brokerage and 1031 tax deferred exchange brokerage throughout the Carolina’s. He has had responsibility for development and management of nearly 1 million square feet of office and industrial facilities and has leased or sold over 2 million square feet of manufacturing and distribution facilities in the Carolinas. He has negotiated and closed over 400 commercial leases and over 250 sales including retail, industrial, office, recreational, and investment properties and has brokered over 10,000 acres of undeveloped land
ranging from 1 acre to 1,400 acre tracts. Some of his notable clients have included King Ranch, QVC, South State Bank, Bojangles, Mas Tec, Auto Owners Insurance, Otis Elevator, Salvation Army, Harbor Freight, and many more.
Mr. Tedder attended West Florence High School and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies concentrating in Business Management. David was a member of the UNC Wilmington men's tennis team for four years and was a founding father of a national fraternity chapter. He has over 25 years of combined experience in chemical and real estate sales, as well as ownership of a local business franchise in the Florence area.
Mr. Tedder resides in Florence with his wife Sonja, a local school teacher, and their 2 daughters. Some of David’s interests include spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and various outdoor activities. He and his family are members of Highland Park United Methodist Church where he serves as a trustee. David is involved at many levels within the community and serves on the City of Florence Design Review Board.
