Mr. Malev launched Malev Realty, LLC in 2011 to provide specialty brokerage services to sellers, buyers, and developers of multi-family properties in the Houston MSA.
Since 2002, Mr. Malev has been involved in most aspects of multi-family real estate including transacting the sale of nearly 11,000 units of apartments as well as development sites. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Malev has leveraged his financial management experience together with his real estate knowledge and marketing savvy to provide his clients with a successful, comprehensive brokerage service platform.
From 2005 through 2011, Mr. Malev brokered apartment properties, first as a sales agent, and then as a real estate broker. It was during this time that Malev honed his sales and marketing skills. Malev has experience marketing and selling everything from class A to class D properties, both large and small.
From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Malev was the Director of Investments for a large local multi-family real estate company. This company operated over 19,000 units of apartments and Mr. Malev was responsible for acquisitions, dispositions and financing properties. Thus, Mr. Malev has the unique perspective of transacting commercial real estate as both an operator and as a broker.
Additionally, Mr. Malev has had significant involvement with the asset management of multi-family assets including an assignment in which Malev was appointed the asset manager and the broker of a large apartment community.
lso, Mr. Malev has worked as a producer for a mezzanine lending fund where he was responsible for marketing and originating new loans for all types of commercial real property.
Prior to 2002, Mr. Malev worked as a certified public accountant in the energy industry. During his career in the energy industry, Malev worked for an interstate gas pipeline company, an exploration and production company, and several energy trading companies. Mr. Malev has been involved in the start-up, restructuring, and disposition of several private and publicly traded energy companies.
Mr. Malev managed teams in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, taxation, and treasury. Much of his experience included the accounting for complex transactions, and the design and management of processes and procedures.
Mr. Malev’s clients benefit from his diverse, yet complimentary business experiences in real estate brokerage, real estate operations, and his expertise in financial management and financial analysis. David Malev holds a BBA in Accounting from The University of Texas at Austin, a Texas Real Estate Broker’s License and he is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).
