David graduated from Florida State University in 1996 with two Bachelor of Arts degrees, one in Marketing and Management and one in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship and afterward began his real estate career working in a business brokerage company. David created business plans and marketing campaigns for the purpose of selling businesses in south Florida. He successfully listed and sold small businesses prior to moving back to Tallahassee in 1997 where he was employed by a not-for-profit business incubator. David consulted business owners on startup and growth strategies while he worked toward his Master’s in Business Administration at Florida State University. He completed his MBA focusing on International Business in 1999 and subsequently accepted a position with Office Depot where he ultimately became the Manager of Marketing Campaigns for North America. After relocating to Jacksonville in 2002, David’s drive for real estate was revived when he joined Bakkar Group, a commercial real estate developer and rose to the position of Vice President of Operations during his nine year tenure. His expertise in commercial real estate was focused on the success of retail shopping centers. He worked on ground-up development of shopping centers to include land acquisitions, zoning, entitlements, construction, leasing, and property management. Additionally, David participated in the purchase and sale of existing centers. He was a vital component in the daily operations of the company where his primary focus was leasing. David joined Strategic Sites in early 2012 bringing his wealth of commercial real estate knowledge and experience and further supported by his consulting background and his familiarity in retail companies such as Office Depot and Bed Bath & Beyond. He seamlessly moved from a developer/owner environment to representing investors, landlords, and tenants where he specializes in shopping centers as well as land acquisitions and dispositions.
