David Knapp brings nearly 20 years of experience in commercial real estate and has handled the sale of some of the most iconic office buildings in Chicago and the broader Midwest including Willis Tower, One North Wacker, 71 South Wacker, and 1KFulton. Mr. Knapp has been named investment sales advisor of the year multiple times by both NAIOP and the Greater Chicago Food Depository. Additionally, he has recently closed some of the largest post-COVID office transactions in the Midwest including Normandale Lake Office Park (1.7M RSF) in suburban Minneapolis, Minnesota, along with 225 West Wacker (650K RSF) and 200 West Jackson (487K RSF) in Chicago, Illinois. Based in Chicago, he has been involved in nearly $20 billion of office, retail, and note sales in the U.S. since 2003. Representative clients include MetLife, Shorenstein, Beacon Capital Partners, CBREIM, Hines, Sterling Bay, Angelo Gordon, Tishman Speyer, Equity Commonwealth, Wells Fargo and Pritzker Realty Group.
Most recently, Mr. Knapp served as an Executive Managing Director at Cushman & Wakefield on the Office Investment Services team. Prior to that, he was a Partner and Managing Director at Eastdil Secured in Chicago where he worked for 14 years. He also had prior experience at CBRE and Principal Real Estate Investors. Mr. Knapp received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Iowa.
