David Gelfond has been with First Development Corporation since 1991. He joined the company after successfully building and selling a chain of dry cleaning stores. David’s main area of expertise is retail leasing, having represented tenants and landlords in hundreds of transactions in the NY—Metro and Philadelphia / South Jersey markets. He completed the rollout of Blockbuster Video and Commerce Bank (sold to TD Bank) with over 100 signed leases. He is currently representing Express Health Mart Pharmacy, Liberty Travel and many major landlords and properties including LeFrak Organization. His exceptional skills in marketing properties and expanding retail chains have made him one of the most diverse retail brokers in the New York Metro area. He also has been named to the external advisory board of Emory University, department of QTM (quantitative theory and methods) in Atlanta, GA. The role of the board is to help create opportunities between the department and business community, while giving guidance to the future path of the curriculum.
