Dave Rabon is a seasoned sales professional and former Business Unit Executive with IBM. Presently, Dave is a Sales Associate and Senior Director with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group - Commercial Division. This full service brokerage firm handles all facets of commercial real estate services, including property management and the sales and leasing of land, office, retail, industrial, multifamily, investment and business brokerage. Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group - Commercial Division is consistently ranked among the top commercial real estate brokerages locally according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Dave is a Pinnacle Award winner with the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors, Inc. . Also, Dave was an “Office Deal of the Year” winner with the same organization for helping to close a complex Office Building transaction. Within the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Properties Group, Dave receives awards annually, finishing among the top 10% of all Sales Professionals. In his twenty-year corporate career at IBM, Dave served in a variety of management, technical marketing, and consulting positions developing consultative marketing, business management, and personnel management skills and experience. Working with large international clients he has led initiatives, which have encompassed business process reengineering, I/T Strategy development, Strategic Outsourcing, and e-Business development. Managing multiple business units he has consistently exceeded objectives for client satisfaction, revenue, expense and profitability. Later in his career as a sales professional, Dave leveraged his engineering background and construction coursework to start a small residential construction company specializing in luxury custom homes. Through this experience, he developed significant knowledge of construction, estimating, construction management, and general contracting. For several years, Dave was the VP of Project Development for a small commercial construction company. His responsibilities included marketing, estimating, bidding, contract negotiations and project management for multi-million dollar commercial projects.
Education
Dave attended the University of Kansas on an engineering scholarship and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has completed a Consultative Marketing professional certification curriculum, including coursework at Harvard.
