Bio
Dave, originally from Canada, relocated to the United States as a child, eventually settling in West Virginia for his high school years. After graduating from West Virginia University with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, he served in the US Army Reserve before joining Owens Corning Fiberglas. Initially working as an Industrial Engineer in Pennsylvania, he transitioned to the Data Processing department and later moved to the company's Division Information Processing Department in Toledo, Ohio, where he pursued an MBA in Marketing at the University of Toledo. During this time, he met his future wife, Kathy, and they married shortly before he took on a project in the company's European Division in Brussels, Belgium.
Upon returning to the US, Dave faced corporate changes at Owens Corning and eventually moved to Toledo Plate Glass Company as their Director of Information Systems. Subsequently, the company merged with another firm near Chicago, prompting Dave's transition to RIS Paper in Cincinnati. Meanwhile, Kathy ventured into real estate, excelling in the field. Dave followed suit, obtaining his real estate license and later his Broker's license in 2001. In 2002, Dave and Kathy opened Premier Properties Real Estate, which thrived despite the real estate crash of 2008-2010, establishing itself as a top real estate company in Southeastern Indiana. Dave remained actively engaged with the Southeastern Indiana Board of Realtors, serving as Realtor of the Year in 2012 and participating on the Board of Directors, including several terms as President.
After relocating to Hidden Valley Lake, Dave became deeply involved in the community, notably serving as the Chairman of the Lakes Committee. His extensive involvement in community matters and the lake environment equipped him with valuable insights. In 2019, Dave achieved US citizenship. Dave and Kathy have one daughter, Shannon Elizabeth, who graduated from Ball State University and resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
