Dave Owen has over 60 years' experience in real estate and finance. He is a graduate of Ottawa University in Ottawa, KS with a degree in Business Administration and Economics and also of the School of Banking at Ohio State University, as well as Mortgage Banking at Rutgers University. He was a licensed real estate broker and co-owner of Bob Owen & Co. Realtors along with his father Bob Owen, a former president of the Kansas Association of Realtors. He was owner, Chairman, and President of two banks in Johnson County, Kansas, in addition to serving as a State Senator and Lt. Governor of Kansas. He has extensive experience in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions as a result of serving as a regional manager for Stephens Inc., a large investment banking firm headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. He founded a company in the security space, serving as CEO and taking it public on the NASDAQ exchange. Dave has experience in all aspects of real estate, including land development, project development, construction, sales, and financing. He is a strategic thinker and a problem solver with a lifetime of contacts in Johnson County, Kansas, and the greater Kansas City area.
Education
He studied at Ohio State University and Rutgers University in conjunction with the American Bankers Association and earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Economics from Ottawa University, in Ottawa, Kansas.
