Dave McKee is a Vice President in the Advisory and Transaction Services division for CBRE’s Columbus office, where he works exclusively as an advocate for occupiers of commercial space on both a local, regional and national level. Dave drives negotiations of leases and purchase agreements to achieve the best solutions for his client’s real estate needs while minimizing the financial exposure and business risks of their decisions.
Over the past 17 years, acting as an occupier advocate, Dave has provided intuitive insight to his clients as it relates to assessing how real estate impacts his client’s short- and long-term business goals. This insight forms the basis for which a sound negotiating strategy can be implemented to ensure his clients maintain the proper leverage to achieve the maximum possible savings on their real estate costs while minimizing many of the risks that frequently get overlooked throughout the negotiating process.
A native of Columbus, Dave’s experience prior to advising occupiers of commercial space includes 13 years as President of NBL Development Group, developer of an upscale, private golf course and residential community in the Dayton, Ohio area. The project, known as Country Club of the North, consists of 410 acres including an 18 hole Jack Nicklaus Signature Course and over 200 high end residential home sites. While directing the development, management and operation of the club, Dave was also responsible for all development and sales functions for the project’s residential component.
