Darrell Nevin has worked in commercial real estate since 1984. He spent 11 years in leasing and property management positions for companies such as Manekin Corporation, The Rouse Company and St. John Properties.
He started his own independent brokerage firm, LeaseWright Commercial Real Estate, LLC, in 1995 representing a wide variety of large and small tenants in the Baltimore Washington corridor seeking office, retail, flex warehouse or industrial space. He has completed over 1,500 commercial transactions in his career. Since 2006 agents working under the LeaseWright Commercial Real Estate banner including Jesse Harvey.
Since 2003 he has been a partner with Gary Baxley in the development of over 200,000 s.f. of Class A office condominium space in 3 separate projects in Howard County.
In 2012 he joined the commercial division of Keller Williams Realty Centre of Greater Howard County. His KW Commercial team includes Jesse Harvey, Rachel Babcock and Andrew Nevin. His affiliation with the 500+ residential agents in this office provide him with numerous referral opportunities. He serves on the Agent Leadership Council inthe Columbia office, runs the Commercial Leadership Council for KW Commercial in the MD/DC region since 204 and is an active member of the Executive Leadership Council for KW Commercial at HQ in Austin, TX since 2015.
He has advised a number of Building Owners in a consulting capacity about their leasing and marketing programs. He has also provided expert witness testimony in a variety of Landlord/Tenant legal disputes.
Twice he has been a guest lecturer to the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School Master of Science in Real Estate program.
He is a 1994 graduate of Leadership Howard County. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Howard County YMCA, the James Rouse Entrepreneurial Fund, the Columbia Business Exchange and the Howard Community College Capital Campaign. He has been a member of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce since 1990 and a member of the Columbia Patuxent Rotary Club since 1994, serving as president in 1999-2000 and various District leadership roles since 2001.
He has been married to Kathy since 1985 and has 2 grown children and one grandchild!
