Mr.Geffner, President and CEO of Newbridge Properties, possesses more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate. In addition to his brokerage activity, Mr. Geffner has also worked in the fields of commercial development and management.
Mr. Geffner's early brokerage experience includes 6 years with Ellis Realtors and Equity Commercial Brokerage. During this period, he worked with retail chains and shopping center developers, specializing in site acquisition and project leasing. Many of the relationships he originally cultivated with retail chains during the 1980's have lasted for more than 15 years. These relationships have been instrumental in facilitating leasing transactions which are tailored to the needs of specific brand-name tenants. During his 5-year tenure as Vice President of Acquisitions and Leasing with Shopping Center Investments Inc., Mr. Geffner played a key role in the acquisition, development and management of more than $70,000,000 worth of retail projects.
Mr.Geffner received a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California Los Angeles in 1981, specializing in Urban Land Economics and Real Estate Finance. During his M.B.A. studies at U.C.L.A., he also served as co-editor of Real Estate Indicators (a quarterly publication focusing on quantitative analysis of real estate trends in California), and conducted research for the U.C.L.A. State of California Forecast. Prior to his M.B.A. studies, Mr. Geffner earned a Masters degree and passed his Ph.D. exams in Latin American History from University of California, Los Angeles.
