Mr. Deuter is an Executive Managing Director in Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group. With over 25 years of commercial real estate experience as both a principal investor and an advisor to institutional investors, Dan offers unique perspective in commercial real estate capital markets. Throughout his career, Mr. Deuter has been directly involved in over $15 billion of commercial real estate transactions throughout the country.
Dan is part of a team of eight professionals that focus on advising clients in the sale of office buildings located in the Chicago metropolitan area, as well as the broader Midwestern region. The team has consistently been a market leader in this practice.
Prior to his time in commercial real estate brokerage, Mr. Deuter worked for 12 years with Transwestern Investment Company / Pearlmark Real Estate Partners where he originated, negotiated, and closed value-add equity and high-yield debt investments for a series of real estate private equity funds.
Mr. Deuter started his career at Arthur Andersen where he was responsible for a wide range of real estate valuation and consulting projects, specializing in the valuation of income-producing commercial real estate for investment advisory clients.
Mr. Deuter earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate from University of Illinois’ College of Business in 1997.
