Bio
As an Executive Managing Director of Development at FD Stonewater, Dan oversees the firm’s development platform and works closely with the logistics team to identify and execute industrial projects. Dan is an industry veteran and comes to FD Stonewater with nearly 20 years of commercial real estate development, investment, and asset management experience. Prior to joining FD Stonewater, he was a Director at Matan Companies, a private commercial real estate investment fund with $1.4 billion AUM consisting of industrial, life sciences, multi-family, and office assets located in the Mid-Atlantic region. During his eight-year tenure, Dan managed the 6 million square foot portfolio from acquisition and development through disposition and was accountable for maximizing risk-adjusted returns while meeting fund, joint venture, and investor objectives. Before joining Matan Companies, Dan spent over five years at JBG Smith (NYSE: JBGS) and four years at Armada Hoffler (NYSE: AHH). He earned his B.A. in Finance from James Madison University and his MBA from the University of Virginia. Dan is a DC sports fan, enjoys playing the guitar, and lives in McLean with his wife and three kids.
