Cynthia joined CBRE in March 2011 having been with another major commercial brokerage firm in Toronto since 1989. Cynthia deals mainly (but not exclusively) with Asian clients/investors. Successful transactions include the purchase and sale of office buildings, retail and restaurant properties, medical buildings, development land, parking garages, theatres, joint-ventures, apartments buildings, schools, Chinatown properties, and bulk acquisition of residential and retail condominiums.
Blending her skills and experience with the extensive resources of Canada's leading real estate company, Cynthia assists foreign and local investors in coming to grips with the intricacies of Canadian property ownership.
Cynthia is a graduate of The Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, where she concentrated her studies in international business and finance. Before returning to Edmonton, Canada in February 1989, Cynthia was manager and sales representative for two international chartered surveyor companies specializing in downtown office leasing and sales in Hong Kong. Major assignments included pre-leasing for Bond Centre (a 750,000 square foot office/retail development) and being part of the sales team for a 21-storey office condominium in the core central business district.
As part of her involvement with the Chinese Business Community in Toronto, Cynthia was a member of the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Canada Business Association and Asian Business Committee member for Junior Achievement. In recognition of her continuous commitment to volunteerism, she received The Ontario Volunteer Service Award from the Province in April 2009.
Cynthia enhanced her professional skills through the Certified Commercial Investment Program and by taking ongoing professional training courses such as Mastering Persuasion techniques and the Power to Influence.
