C. W. Tucker Lewis, founder and CEO of Global Building, provides overall strategic direction and guidance to the company. Mr. Lewis founded Global in 2006 with the goal of creating a well-run real estate company to develop and acquire commercial projects in the Southwestern United States. Today, he leads the company in developing new equity and debt capital sources in order to grow the company’s capital base, and works with his senior management team to shape the organization’s values-based culture and improve internal company structure.
Mr. Lewis brings over 27 years of experience in the real estate industry with expertise in real estate acquisitions, construction and development, property and asset management, leasing, marketing, and finance. Prior to forming Global Building, Mr. Lewis was the Vice-Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Mammoth Equities, LLC where he was instrumental in growing the company from a two-person firm to a 60-person, multi-division real estate enterprise. During Mr. Lewis’ tenure with Mammoth Equities, he was responsible for implementing the development and construction of over one million square feet of commercial office, industrial and mini storage projects, and was directly involved in the purchase of over $200 million in existing office and industrial properties ranging from California to Texas.
Prior to joining Mammoth Equities Mr. Lewis worked primarily for regional real estate management companies based in both California and Arizona, where he was responsible for asset and property management, real estate rehabilitation, brokerage and leasing. As the Southern California Divisional Manager at PMG Management & Consulting from 1992 to 1996, he gained valuable experience handling distressed real estate assets, working directly with numerous receivers to protect asset values prior to foreclosure, and providing turnaround services for clients after properties had been foreclosed. Mr. Lewis began his career in 1985 as a research analyst at Grubb & Ellis Company in Phoenix, Arizona.
A Bachelor of Science graduate of Arizona State University, Mr. Lewis earned a Certificate in Construction Practices from San Diego State University, and is a licensed real estate broker in the state of California. Mr. Lewis is a member of the Board of Members of Global Building, LLC and has served on numerous local civic boards and commissions. The father of three children, Mr. Lewis currently resides in San Diego, CA.
