As the founder and CEO of Cora Bett Thomas Realty, Cora Bett Thomas has, quite literally, changed the way real estate is bought and sold in the region. Since 1976, Thomas has been a multi-million dollar producer, listing and selling some of the most exclusive property in the region. In 1995, at the pinnacle of her career, she launched Cora Bett Thomas Realty, with a vision of leading a firm founded upon uncompromising integrity, unparalleled professionalism and unmatched expertise in the field of real estate. Today, Thomas manages Savannah’s leading real estate company and oversees a talented team of sales associates and property management experts. Through her efforts, Cora Bett Thomas Realty is an exclusive affiliate of Christie’s Great Estates, covering an area which runs from the South Carolina Lowcountry all the way south to the Florida border. Her firm is also member of Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate, The Board of Regents, Leading Estates of the World, Leading Real Estate Companies of the World’s Luxury Portfolio Division and The Registry of Real Estate Brokers. In 2003, Thomas brokered the sale of Hampton Island, a 2,300-acre luxury waterfront community, which was hailed as one of the largest East Coast land deals on record. She is consistently sought after for her marketing expertise by clients including the Savannah College of Art and Design, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and an extensive portfolio of international investors. Thomas, who is originally from Scotland Neck, N.C., has a bachelor's degree in Special Education/Speech Therapy and a masters degree in Psychology from East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C. In addition to her work on the Georgia Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, she also serves on the Wachovia Advisory Board, the Savannah College of Art and Design Board of Visitors, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, The Creative Coast’s Advisory Council, and the Savannah Economic Development and Renewal Authority’s Board of Directors and Advisory Board. She is also an active member of Christ Episcopal Church, Historic Savannah Foundation and the Telfair Museum of Art in Savannah. She enjoys marketing, dancing, fashion and business development. A Savannah resident since 1970, Thomas resides in the city’s National Landmark Historic District with and enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
