Colin Carter has been in the leisure industry since the mid 90s as an operator and gym equipment supplier. He branched out into property in 2010 as a way to build relationships with gym operators to gain an advantage over competitors and sell more gym equipment. He went full-time into ProActive Leisure in 2017, as he felt he had a strong enough network of property agents, landlords and developers, along with a good pipeline of properties to build a good business. Having spent many years travelling the country, he has built up an encyclopaedic knowledge of the best gym and leisure locations within every city, based on ease of access and local demographics. This geographical knowledge enables him to go over-and-above the call of duty for his clients by providing them with detailed assessment on the pros and cons of every opportunity. The relationships with his clients is built on trust, as they know that he only presents high-quality sites in the best locations, along with a great property deal. He is never afraid to advise his clients to walk away from a deal if he feels it’s not right for them. In his spare time he is usually playing sport; mountain biking, golf, tennis and hill walking in the summer months and skiing in the winter with his family.
