Bio
Christel Highland is a licensed salesperson in Kansas and Missouri, who began working for Aaron Mesmer’s investment entity in 2017. Christel is excited to now be a part of the Block Real Estate Services (BRES) team. She was able to join the BRES team after working as a portfolio manager for real estate investors since 2015. She successfully managed the financial aspects and the property management team on behalf of her investors. The bulk of the portfolio was sold (a co-listing with Mr. Mesmer) at the height of the pandemic, with the remaining units renovated and prepared for the market during the peak sales cycle prior to current interest rate hikes.
Christel serves on the Missouri Advocacy Committee and Global Business Council with KCRAR. Outside of real estate, Christel Highland is a professional artist, curator of personal and corporate collections, and a leader in the arts community. She currently serves as a Municipal Art Commissioner, appointed by Mayor Lucas (2020-2023), The Executive Selection Committee for Art at KCI (The largest public art project in Kansas City’s history.), is a Missouri Master Gardener, and a certified yoga instructor.
