Chris Shaheen is an experienced and accomplished commercial real estate professional with over 28 years of experience in the industry. He began his career in 1995 with Saurage Commercial Real Estate, where he quickly established himself as a top producer in 1997, 1999, 2007, and 2009. In 2001, Chris ventured into development, successfully creating a 14,000-square-foot retail center in Zachary, Louisiana. This led to the formation of The Maverick Group, a development company that developed over 2,000 residential lots and over a million square feet of retail and office space before the crash of 2009. After the crash, Chris refocused his efforts on brokering while still fee developing for specific clients. In 2015, Chris opened a regional office for Marcus & Millichap in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and has since specialized in multi-family assets, helping Marcus & Millichap increase its share of the multi-family market in Louisiana. His most recent successes include the sale of 224 units at The Terraces at Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge and 200 units at Southdowns Pavillion in Houma
