Chris Brown joined Savills San Jose office in 2021 as a Senior Managing Director focused exclusively on representing corporate clients in strategic planning, leasing, portfolio optimization, dispositions and financial advisory. With over 16 years of experience, Chris has advised early stage, high growth and publicly traded companies in the Bay Area and around the world.
Prior to joining Savills, Chris served as a leading tenant representation specialist at Newmark Knight Frank, where he provided financial advisory and negotiated multi-market transactions for occupiers of space. During the tumultuous real estate market caused by the COVID 19 pandemic, he assisted in managing his clients’ risk by facilitating the termination of eight leases, resulting in over $4.5 million in aggregate savings. From 2015 to 2021, he secured over $28 million in landlord contributions on behalf of his clients.
Chris has gained recognition throughout his career for outstanding and creative client representation – from serving on the team rationalizing a global portfolio and achieving $85 million dollars in client savings, to the ongoing management of a 10 million SF portfolio that spanned office, industrial and R&D properties across six continents.
