Chad Galayda is currently a Principal with Avison Young. Galayda brings more than 20 years of commercial real estate experience to Avison Young. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2011, he spent five years as a senior vice-president at Grubb & Ellis Company after 10 years as a Vice-President in the development and asset strategy group with Jones Lang LaSalle. Before entering the commercial real estate industry, he worked at Ernst & Young in both the audit and tax practice groups.
Mr. Galayda focuses on account management for multi-national companies adding value for his clients by developing real estate strategies aligned to business drivers and goals. Relatively new to Detroit after two decades in the competitive Chicago brokerage marketplace, Chad has a track record of providing his clients with strategic solutions that align with their corporate objectives and initiatives, and his unique insights will bring additional depth to our office in Detroit. Chad will be a leader in helping grow the brokerage services practice along with the market-based Enterprise Solutions opportunities. Mr. Galayda has been involved in many real estate transactions including leasing, acquisition and disposition assignments with a total value of over $1 billion. Past and current clients include: General Motors, 3M, Tenneco Corporation, BP, Morgan Stanley, Private Bank and US Solar Corporation.
Galayda is a certified public accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy from Miami University in Oxford, OH and a Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
