Bio
Cartwright Ellis graduated from Kokomo High School in 1966, and Butler University in 1970, with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He was licensed as a Real Estate Broker in the State of Indiana in 1971, and licensed as an Auctioneer in 1976. He has been involved in the valuation and sales of both real estate and personal property since 1977. He became a partner with Roy L. Crume in 1977, and continued the partnership until Roy retired in 1988. Cartwright holds the C.A.I. designation from the Certified Auctioneer’s Institute, and holds the Indiana Certified General Appraisers license. He is currently a member of the Certified Auctioneer’s Institute, Indiana Auctioneers Association, Central Indiana Regional MLS, Indiana Association of Realtors, and National Association of Realtors. He is past President and Director of the Indiana Auctioneer’s Association, and is a past State Director of the Indiana Association of Realtors, past Vice President and Director of Kokomo Area Association of Realtors. He currently works in the appraisal of commercial, agricultural, and residential real estate in Howard and the surrounding counties, and is active in the auction method of marketing of real estate and personal property. His auction involvement has covered literally thousands of auctions ranging from selling cupcakes (at a Cub Scout auction), to selling farms in excess of $1,000,000.
