Carolyn has practiced commercial brokerage exclusively in central Virginia for the past 18 years. Prior to entering the Real Estate field, she served as the Executive Director of the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA. While there, she gained valuable experience in the commercial field by her involvement in planning, zoning permit entitlements and the oversight of architects, engineers and construction personnel during the development of the new state of the art animal shelter facility for Charlottesville and Albemarle County.
Carolyn is a Certified Commercial Investment Member, a designation that only 4% of the approximate 125,000 commercial Real Estate practitioners in the U.S. have earned. This makes her a recognized professional in commercial Real Estate brokerage, leasing and investment analysis. Having been involved in commercial property transactions from virtually every perspective, as landlord, tenant, investor, developer and Broker, she has the knowledge and experience to meet and exceed her clients expectations. Her focus is investment properties for her clients nationwide.
Active in many local non-profits, she has served on the Board of Computers 4 Kids, CASPCA and Provident Bank. She presently serves on the Board of Directors of the Albemarle County Police Foundation as well as the North Charlottesville Business Council.
