Brian Smith is Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice-President of Leasing at Poag Shopping Centers. In this role, Brian leads the company in defining and executing growth strategies through acquisitions, strategic partnerships, investments, developments, and innovation. He also oversees all aspects of leasing activity in the shopping center portfolio, including the merchandising and leasing of all new developments, and the management and leadership of the company’s team of leasing professionals.
Brian began his career over 20 years ago with Abercrombie & Fitch in New York. He then transitioned to the landlord/developer side of the business and served as Regional Leasing Director for CBL & Associates, a real estate investment trust owning/managing over 85 million square feet of retail.
Brian is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design.
