Brian Adams joined Mid-America Real Estate Corporation in 2005 and is a licensed managing broker in the State of Illinois. He specializes in restaurant tenant representation, landlord representation and property disposition. Over the course of his career Mr. Adams has focused on providing detailed market research and development strategies for local entrepreneurs, national multi- concept operational and international restaurateurs breaking into the Chicagoland area and Central Illinois. Through his efforts and emphasis on the restaurant industry, he has successfully executed market development plans across a variety of restaurant segments. Brian has conducted thorough market analysis, site selection and negotiations for market leading casual dining operations such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Bloomin’ Brands, Granite City Food & Brewery, Giordano's and many more. Within the fast casual segment Brian has experience with trend setting and distinguished concepts by executing development plans for Chipotle, Nando’s Peri-Peri, Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Jason’s Deli. Understanding nuances to certain operators businesses and identifying viable market indicators while minimizing development cannibalization is essential to success. Other clients that require a stronger understanding of particular critical traits include Main Event, Portillo’s and Cooper's Hawk. In Brian’s time with Mid-America Real Estate he has lead and coordinated leasing efforts for numerous ground up multi-tenant building developments, redevelopments of existing shopping centers, power center developments and single-use disposition. He has represented a diverse range of property owners and investors ranging from REIT’s to Private Investors. Brian’s depth of market knowledge across all categories of retail oriented users and tenants helps provide the client with a stronger sense for the potential upside of a transaction and addresses potential challenges and constraints. He has conducted business negotiations with numerous big box anchors, retail fashion tenants and personal and professional service oriented tenants. Brian is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, ULI, the Chicago Next Generation Planning Committee and serves as a Co-Chair of the Restaurant Council for the ChainLinks.
