Bio
Robert S. Thorpe “Bob” has a broad and long real estate career. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker and, in 2013, took over as Managing Broker for both UrbanWorks, Inc. and his wholly owned WCC Realty, LLC.
Bob began working in real estate with the C. R. Anthony Company, a Multi- State Department Store chain in 1978, and became VP over the company’s Real Estate Department in 1984. He became a licensed RE Broker in 1989 with the Baker First Company and later became an independent broker in 1994. From 1995 to 2000, Bob was associated with a Movie Theater development group and traveled the USA and Canada performing site selection and development duties.
From 2001 until 2005, Bob was a Development Specialist for ERC Development Company of Ft Smith AR, a multifamily developer, working on site selection, construction coordination and management of over 2000 apartment units in OK, KS and IA.
In recent years, Bob has consulted with clients such as the Humphreys Group, coordinating the development of Vermont Business Park, a 34 acre warehouse development. Currently, he provides site selection and development rep services for Discount Tire in the Oklahoma City Metro and for Carl’s Junior throughout OK. Simultaneously, he and partner developed and recently sold 100% of their homes and lots in the Cottages at Rose Creek, an upscale empty-nester housing subdivision in NW OKC.
Bob brings all of these diverse experiences, his “can do” attitude, and a tenacious work ethic to the table for the clients of UrbanWorks.
