Based in Atlanta, Grimsley Development is focused on identifying overlooked properties in under-supplied and high demand trade areas that contain sustainable market fundamentals. Grimsley then develops, with strategic partners, institutional quality self-storage, multi-family and other commercial real estate assets.
For over 25 years, Bob Grimsley has been acquiring and entitling real estate for development by residential builders, retailers and by his own company. In the process, he has achieved a notable record of completing projects across multiple jurisdictions in 17 states. Grimsley and his team’s experience in seamlessly completing all aspects of property research, due diligence, acquisition and development serve them well in creating timely opportunities for their partners, investors and the communities in which they locate.
Grimsley has spent most of his career on the corporate side of the development process for such retailers as Lowe’s Home Centers and IKEA but through Grimsley Development, he is now focused exclusively on acquisition and development functions in partnership with select product specific developers. Grimsley is now acquiring land and previously developed properties for redevelopment or value-add in strong traffic commercial corridors close to employment centers, hospitals, multi-family and housing density.
