He is a founding partner of Evans & Wagner Commercial Gp., Inc. The company was founded in December 2005 as a boutique-style full service commercial real estate company and provides a large variety of client services throughout Lee and Collier counties throughout southwest Florida.
He has over 45 years of diversified commercial real estate experience in Florida. His background includes extensive exposure in brokerage, development, leasing, property management, asset management of office, retail, industrial and land product types. He has also provided a wide variety of Client consulting services, including financing and refinancing, redevelopment, repositioning, strategic planning, opinions of value, property tax analysis, and similar Client driven specialty assignments. His client relationships extend from institutional lenders and ownership groups to locally owned assets.
His career in commercial real estate started in Central Florida where he was fully responsible for leasing and managing a successful regional mall, together with developing multi-unit apartment complexes and creating and operating a full-service third-party retail asset management company for grocery anchored community shopping centers throughout Central Florida.
After his engagement of about 25 years in Central Florida, he was subsequently associated with Prime Retail in Miami, CBRE in Fort Myers, Trammel Crow Company in Fort Myers-Naples, General Growth Company in Lake Wales and Allete Commercial (Minnesota Power & Light) in Fort Myers. In those relationships, he provided many services including, asset management, leasing, brokerage, the development of a strategic long-term leasing and value enhancement plan, and was also engaged in other related services, including designing and teaching a full-service commercial asset management and leasing course to 15 employees/students.
He obtained his Certified Shopping Center (“CSM”) designation in 1976, became a Florida Real Estate Broker in 1983, and has passed three of the four courses required for his CCIM designation. In the late 1980’s he also served as an expert witness and consultant for the US Marshall’s office during their investigations into corruption associated with the S&L collapse during that period.
He has served on the board as a member or President of many community-based organizations over the years and was Vice-President and one of 3 founding members of the Florida Council of Shopping Centers (“FCSC”).
