Bio
A broker with more than thirty years of experience, he has focused his attention on the sales and leasing of commercial and industrial properties in Hartford, New Haven and Fairfield counties. He began my career with a large, well-established, full service real estate company whose commercial industrial division he developed and in which he came to hold a significant equity interest. When the company was sold to Prudential, he was invited to join the Colliers network, which provided even greater access to national and international opportunities for deal-making.
He has had the privilege of representing a wide range of prestigious clients for whom he provided services individually tailored to their needs. He assisted Yale University to acquire strategic properties that were purchased for the future expansion of the University. He thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of researching and successfully negotiating properties that were not on the market but essential elements of the University’s forward planning. He performed a similar function for the University of New Haven, working with the administration to plan and acquire properties that enabled implementation of an ambitious expansion plan.
He has identified locations for fast food corporations such as for Wendy’s, McDonalds and Bruegger’s. He has served as consultant/advisor to large regional law firms, provided evaluations and assisted them as they expanded their offices to other parts of the area. He has extensive experience as a tenant representative for national, regional and local biotechnology and medical companies such as Laboratory Corporation of America. His knowledge of these industries enables him to be particularly responsive to their needs, which have ranged from large-scale laboratories to private medical practices. As a licensed Connecticut certified general appraiser, he brings additional expertise to his clients.
As an active broker, he has served the real estate industry as President of the SIOR chapter of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts, and as President of The Industrial and Office Brokers Association of Metropolitan New York, (IOREBA), amongst others.
As an active member of my community he has served on the Boards of The New Symphony Orchestra, The New Haven YMCA and Columbus House Homeless Shelter and as a trustee of the Hopkins School. He remains a loyal Dartmouth alumnus, a brother of Sigma Chi Fraternity and a loyal follower of Dartmouth athletics.
