Blair Gilbert is Cherokee and Ojibwa, a lifetime member of NCAI (National Congress of American Indians),
vice president and a member of the Board of Directors for the United American Indians of the Delaware
Valley in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a member of the Baltimore American Indian Center in Maryland. He
is an enrolled member of The Northern Cherokee Nation of The Old Louisiana Territory. He attended Kansas
State Teachers College, majoring in business administration and accounting.
He currently serves as Vice President and is a Director for the Pennsylvania Chapter of SIOR (Society of
Industrial and Office Realtors) and is on the Board of Directors for the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and
Delaware chapter of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member).
He is on the Board of Directors, and has served as a member of the Commercial, Industrial and Investment
committee of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors from 2001 to present and is a member of the
Professional Standards Committee of TriState Realtors Commercial Alliance. Blair holds a real estate
license in Pennsylvania and Maryland (escrow).
He served as Vice Chairman of the Amity Township (Berks County) Economic Development Advisory
Committee from 2005 to 2011 and from 1996 to 1999 he served on the Comprehensive Plan for the County
of Anne Arundel in Maryland. He was vice chair of Region 5 (Pasadena & Severna Park) during that period.
Blair served as chairperson for the Finance Committee of the General Commission on Communications of
The United Methodist Church and on the executive committee of United Methodist Communications. He also
served on the Board of Directors of Kingswood Productions and New Freedom Music.
He served on the executive committee of the Native American International Caucus and chaired the
communications committee. He was chairman of the Northeast Region of the Native American International
Caucus, served on the executive committee and chaired the telecommunications committee for the Mayor’s
Commission on Native American Affairs in the city of Philadelphia during the Rendell administration.
He has presented on numerous occasions before the Indian Prayer Breakfast at the U.S. Senate in
Washington, DC, spoke for many groups on Native American spirituality and has been a guest on radio and
television shows where the focus was on the Native American culture.
