Bio
Mr. St. John is a Vice Chairman at CBRE co-leading the New England Multifamily Investment Sales team. He most recently served as an Executive Director with Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.'s Capital Markets Group having joined in October 2006. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., Mr. St. John was a member of the Investment Properties Group at CBRE/NE and prior to that, he was a member of the Consulting and Valuation Group. In 2005, he was elected as Partner of CBRE/NE.
During his career, Mr. St. John has participated in excess of $5.5 billion in multifamily transactions totaling over 45,000 units. For four years running starting in 2008, Biria was the #2 apartment sales professional at C&W and ranked fifth amongst all investment sales professionals in 2010. In 2007, Biria was named one of the “Top 100” sales professionals nationally for Cushman & Wakefield. In 2004 and 2005, Biria achieved the “Top 200” designation from CBRE out of 4,000 sales professionals nationwide. In his position as an appraiser with CBRE/NE, Mr. St. John provided consulting and valuation services to a number of institutional, public and private organizations. He has served the valuation needs of such clients as pension fund advisors, Wall Street conduit lenders and FNMA DUS originators. In addition to traditional market rate apartment sales, Mr. St. John has developed a specialization in affordable housing, having sold in excess of $450 million of affordable housing properties in the last five years. These include affordable transactions of all kinds, including Section 8, LIHTC, Section 236, 40B and 13A transactions. Furthermore, he has developed a specialization for land transactions, including apartment sites, large tract subdivisions, condo development sites, etc.
