Living in Beaufort County all my life gives me an advantage over other agents that are transplants from other areas.
It gives me a sense of loyalty, responsibility and pride of the area that comes with being a true area native. I have an advantage of knowing the area, and the responsibility to protect the land that has been so important to me and my family for many past and future generations.
A little background on myself:
Born at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, I went to most of the area schools and as a teenager I worked on a shrimp bout out of Port Royal. I then got married and became a carpenter from 1975-79 building homes mostly on Hilton Head Island.
In 1980 I joined the Sea Pines Forest Beach Fire Department on Hilton Head Island and served there until the merger of the two island departments in 1993. Then we were known as Hilton Head Island Fire/Rescue. After serving the citizens of Hilton Head in a public service role for 25+ years I retired. I worked at Brays Island Plantation Golf Club for 5 years and truly enjoyed that but knew there was something more for me. Then I thought Real Estate would be a good fit as I know the area, a lot of people, and I enjoy helping others.
Happily married since 1975 to my high school sweetheart, I am truly a blessed man. Now with a daughter, one grandson, and one granddaughter, and a son-in-law that I consider a son, my life could not be better. Being an active member and Deacon in the Sheldon Baptist Church my life is complete.
I always strive to be the best at everything I do. With my many years of customer service, it comes as second nature and the fabric of who I am. I am able to put all my life's experiences together, knowledge of the area, building background, public service, caring for others and not to mention attention to detail, that I feel allows me to be molded into what is needed to be a successful Real Estate agent.
