Bio
Ben Raney has worked in the commercial real estate industry since 1985. His initial focus was on the establishment of tenant representation relationships. Over time, many of those relationships have matured and manifested into opportunities to deliver scopes of services well beyond tenant representation. These accomplishments ultimately led to the establishment of Raney Real Estate, a full service brokerage, investment, acquisition and development company.
Mr. Raney has established himself as a leading producer in Atlanta by representing tenants occupying millions of square feet of office space throughout his career. His dedication to the delivery of best-in-class service to his clients has resulted in recognition by his peers at The Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (Top 5 Producer) and other leading industry organizations. Throughout his career, Mr. Raney has had the honor of representing many of Atlanta’s largest and most prestigious law firms and corporations, establishing himself as an expert and an industry leader in the urban markets of Atlanta.
Mr. Raney is actively involved in the Atlanta community. In a partnership with Atlanta Beltline Inc., Mr. Raney purchased a very strategic 5-mile, 65 acre property in 2007 and provided a portion as the first 5-mile segment of the land needed to construct the 22-mile Atlanta Beltline. Atlanta’s Beltline is the largest urban transportation initiative in the United States and the largest Brownfields project in North America. The plan for the Beltline property will combine green space, trails, transit, and new development along 22 miles of historic rail segments that surround the core of the city.
Ben Raney resides in the Buckhead area of Atlanta and is a Founder and Board Member of Vinings Bank. He has held board positions with several local businesses and social organizations such as the National Kidney Foundation, the Georgia Transplant Foundation and the Druid Hills Golf Club. He and his wife, Lisa, enjoy traveling together and spending time at their home on St. Simons Island.
