Barinna Poon has been active in commercial real estate business since 1996. Prior to joining NAI ChaneyBrooks in 2005, Barinna spent almost ten years working with Colliers Monroe Friedlander and Sofos Realty where she started her extensive real estate career in Hawaii.
Barinna's career has started in assisting tenants in obtaining business locations, with the understanding of market conditions and market potential. Barinna's expertise is in sales and leasing of shopping center, retail and office building; site selection and acquisition; global development project representation and global tenant representation.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Barinna is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese, and is familiar with the Chinese cultures, traditions and the regions. For the past few years, Barinna has traveled extensively to China for several real estate development projects; these projects are in Beijing, Shanghai and GuangZhou.
Barinna has attended the last seven International Business Forum in Hong Kong as a delegate from Hawaii. She is also the current President of the National U.S. Hong Kong Business Association (NUSHKBA) and the Chairperson of the Hong Kong Business Association of Hawaii (HKBAH). NUSHKBA is serving over 2,600 individual member associates from ten Hong Kong Associations located in the states of California, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Washington.
