Hunt Gunter is a Vice President with The Wilton Companies. His responsibilities include the acquisition and disposition of land and retail, office and industrial properties for Wilton's portfolio.
Hunt is involved with all aspects of land sales, developing new and upgrading existing shopping centers, improving retail shops, office buildings and warehouses. Additionally, he specializes in the representation of local, regional and national retailers looking to buy or lease retail properties in the Richmond Metropolitan area.
Hunt has been instrumental in bringing together industry specialists who have created some of the area's most successful projects.
His activity in the fast-growing Central Virginia market has put him in the vanguard of Richmond's commercial real estate professionals.
Hunt has over twenty-five years of brokerage experience in all aspects of commercial real estate sales, leasing, investment and development beginning his real estate career with Virginia Realty and Development Company in 1991 in their Retail Department.
In 1995, Hunt was hired by Blockbuster Entertainment as a Regional Real Estate Representative for Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., South Carolina, and upstate New York.
Hunt then worked for Kinko's as a Regional Real Estate Representative for Virginia, Maryland, Washington DC, North Carolina, Tennessee, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Later, he was recruited and hired by Chainlinks and served as the Managing Director of Brokerage Services.
In October 2004, Hunt joined The Wilton Companies as Vice President hired to run the Commercial Division. His responsibilties included managing the leasing of over three million square feet of land and retail, office and industrial properties.
In 2010, Hunt became Principal Broker of Wilton Realty, LLC and in 2011, he was made Vice President of Acquisitions.
