Mr. Holzer has more than a decade of experience in Commercial and Multi Family development projects. He has literally grown up in real estate due to his family’s involvement in the business.
Prior to forming Halpern, Avram was a Managing Director Colliers ABR, Inc. where he was instrumental in building the Investment Sales and Finance division.
Some of his more notable transactions include the sale of 29 John and 59 John Street in Manhattan. Structuring a unique joint venture between the Collegiate Church (Dutch Reform Church) the ground lessee, and Glenwood Management the lessor of 111-133 William Street consisting of more than 600,000 square feet of Class B office space.
Recently completed financing transactions include the $10,000,000 refinancing of a neighborhood shopping center in North Bergen, New Jersey, $12,600,000 acquisition financing of a 450,000 square foot warehouse and a $18,000,000 refinance on three industrial properties in Northern New Jersey.
Select transactions include he sale of the Home Depot Northeastern Distribution facility, as well as a retail strip center anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond and Old Navy to complete a 1031 tax-free exchange.
Avram was part of the team that completed the sale and relocation of the headquarters of the United Federation of Teachers. This portfolio sale involved the sale of 300,000 square feet on Park Avenue South and the acquisition and long-term lease of 50 and 52 Broadway comprising over 700,000 square feet of office space. This was the largest real estate transaction in the United States for the first quarter 2002. He is also acting as financial advisor on a development of 44 townhouse units located in Matamoras, PA.
Avram has consummated over 2 million square feet of industrial product throughout the U. S.
As a principal, Avram has been actively involved in the acquisition and rehabilitation of multifamily and neighborhood strip shopping centers.
