Bio
After graduating from law school with honors, Austin went to work as a trial lawyer for Morrisson & Foerster, one of the largest law firms in the world. After several years of trial practice, Austin left to work in-house for the Colgate Palmolive Company where he ultimately served as General Counsel of one of their European divisions and as a senior business development executive. In September 2000, he founded Quantum Horizons, a Fortune 500 consulting firm focusing on business and leadership development. His clients have included 3M, Wells Fargo, Intel, Merial, Veolia Transport, the Phoenix Suns, PBS and the Mandela Rhodes Foundation in South Africa. In 2011, Austin wrote and produced the nationally acclaimed documentary film People v. The State of Illusion, regarding the science and power of perception and imagination, that became one of the highest grossing films in the country on a per/theater revenue basis, leading to nationwide theatrical distribution through Samuel Goldwyn Films, and receiving critical acclaim from organizations such as PBS and Scientific American and the Huffington Post. People v. The State of Illusion also became the subject of a university study showing it to be the first film in the history of cinema to demonstrate a positive impact on people's attitudes and beliefs. Austin continues his work today with Quantum Horizons, continuing to introduce his business and leadership development ideas to organizations around the world. He has also expanded his work by developing expertise into the realm of digital and social media marketing for which Quantum Horizons is currently working with numerous organizations.
