Bio
Austin, born and raised in Redondo Beach, joined the Epsteen & Associates team in Summer 2019. He was a student-athlete at California Lutheran University and graduated with honors in 2019 with a degree in Business Management. In the summer of 2018, Austin interned at E&A, where he immediately found his passion and interest in retail real estate. He performed a variety of tasks and shadowed multiple brokers in the office, learning along the entire way. He completed the comprehensive 2-year training program where he visited 3,000+ shopping centers, 260+ cities, and spent 2,000+ hours of “windshield time”. This all-inclusive training and 1st hand experience has thoroughly equipped him to be able to locate, advise, and negotiate on his client’s behalf.
Professionally commencing his career, Austin has successfully completed 50+ ground lease, build-to-suit, or building lease transactions with a total lease value approaching $100 million across 5 counties in Southern California. He has helped clients such as Starbucks Coffee, Quick Quack Car Wash, Simply Salad, and Visionworks source real estate and effectively negotiate on retail space. He also works with multiple franchise driven concepts, including Great Clips, Total by Verizon, and Charley’s Philly Steaks. In addition to Tenant representation, Austin has also worked with institutional and family-based Landlords such as Public Storage and Aldi, helping them procure quality tenants for over 110,000 SF of retail space.
Austin played basketball at California Lutheran University, receiving CLU's Scholar Athlete of the Year award in 2018-2019. Austin is a highly motivated, dedicated, and hard-working individual who is eager to take his work ethic and apply it to the retail real estate industry.
