Tony Armstrong has over thirty years of experience in commercial real estate and mortgage banking in Maine. He has been part of the SVN network for 4 years, having previously been a partner in Baldacci Real Estate Group. He recently joined SVN The Masiello Group when the brokers at SVN The Urbanek Group joined the Masiello team. Tony specializes in land development, multi-family housing, retail, and hospitality properties. Most recently, he has worked with developers who are moving forward with four 250-unit multi-family projects in southern Maine. Additionally, he was involved in the development of the Gateway Center in Scarborough. His efforts include assisting developers with re-zoning, site plan approvals, Maine DEP and DOT approvals, and Tax Increment Financing (TIF) assistance. Several of his current listings are in federal Tax Opportunity Zones, with which he has considerable experience. Tony received his BA in Economics from Tufts University, a master’s degree in City Planning from Harvard University, and a law degree from the University of Maine School of Law. He worked in state government at the Maine State Housing Authority and was the Director of the Maine Office of Energy Resources. Later he was appointed by Governor Baldacci to the Board of Directors of the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) and was Chairman of the Governor’s Commission on the Redevelopment of Brunswick Naval Air Station
