I look forward to working with you on your next real estate sale or purchase.” – Annie Becker
Licensed since 2005, bringing extensive business, networking and marketing skills from the non-profit sector, Annie moved from fundraising to real estate sales, effectively putting these skills to work with her buyers and sellers. She was the 2017-2018 President of the Newport County Board of REALTORS and was honored as their 2017 REALTOR of the Year. She currently serves as a President of the REALTOR Foundation RI.
Annie was raised in Westwood, MA and earned her B.S. in Statistics and Finance at Syracuse University. Like many Newporters, Annie arrived in the “City by the Sea” by boat. After working on private yachts and sailing thousands of offshore miles she chose to settle here and remain close to the sea and the sailing community. Ashore she worked as Director of Development during two campaigns for Young America, The New York Yacht Club America’s Cup Challenge, and then for the Aquidneck Land Trust. During this time she gained her first knowledge of the local real estate market by purchasing and renovating multi- and single-family homes in Maine and Rhode Island.
Still sailing, Annie was part of the crew of Selkie, placing second in class in the both the 2008 and 2016 Newport-Bermuda Race, sailed on a 2007 expedition in the Southern Ocean to the Auckland Islands. In 2012, she earned 200-hour certification as a Kripalu Yoga Teacher. Annie remains involved with local organizations including the Merritt Neighborhood Fund of the Aquidneck Land Trust and as a Director on the Boards of Clean Ocean Access and The Seamen’s Church Institute.
