Mr. Schaeffer joined MAA in 2009. He previously spent six years in private equity and investment banking, where he participated in numerous private and public company capital raising and advisory assignments. Mr. Schaeffer began his career in public accounting with Ernst & Young. Mr. Schaeffer graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Accounting. He holds a Master of Accountancy from the University of Tennessee and is a Certified Public Accountant (Inactive).
