Bio
Adam Sharrin began his real estate career in Chicago in 1990 with a mid-size commercial real estate firm, where he was the firm’s top producer. In 1998, he was recruited to join Insignia/ESG, the third largest real estate firm in the world, where he furthered his experience working with a broad range of clients who chose him as their trusted commercial real estate advisor. In 2003 when Insignia/ESG was being acquired by CB Richard Ellis, the largest real estate firm globally, Mr. Sharrin decided it was in his clients’ best interest to develop a platform where the importance of each transaction was valued equally by the client, the real estate advisor, and the company behind the advisor. In 2003, Mr Sharrin's entrepreneurial spirit and passion to identify creative solutions for his clients launched ProActive Advisors LLC. He personifies ProActive Advisors' North Star - to provide a platform of senior level transactional experience, in-depth market knowledge and creative financial expertise exclusively to office space users. Throughout his career, Mr. Sharrin has represented clients in over 2.0 Million square feet of transactions. He continues to demonstrate his ability to uncover hidden opportunities in the market, emphasizing the outstanding qualities of his clients, and take advantage of the different soft spots that are unique to each landlord. Regardless of transaction size, he is an agile negotiator, obtaining the most aggressive economics while achieving lease flexibility for his clients. Prior to entering the commercial real estate industry, Mr. Sharrin was an award winning account executive with Westinghouse Electric Corporation for six years. During this time, he serviced the construction market, where he developed the skills necessary to identify and evaluate existing structures. Mr. Sharrin leverages these experiences, while taking a leadership role in analyzing and negotiating the costs to improve his clients’ office space, and to make sure his clients’ best interests are served during the entire construction process. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and an enthusiastic member of the "Spartan Nation".
