Happy Repeat Customers
- We enjoy high customer service ratings and a stellar repeat customer percentage. That creates a strong platform for the growth of your business.

Why Choose SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service?
The auto repair industry is massive, steadily growing, and resistant to downturns. SpeeDee is a great business opportunity because more than 99% of the vehicles on U.S. roads need regular oil changes. While EVs are slowly gaining market share, it will be decades before they are the majority of cars on the road.
The auto aftermarket industry is strong because almost everyone in America drives. Americans cumulatively drive about 3.3 trillion miles per year, and are keeping their vehicles longer than ever before. According to research, the average vehicle in operation in 2023 was 12.5 years old; 25% of cars are 16 years old or older. Drivers understand that to extend the life of their vehicles, routine maintenance is a must.
Of the 297 million vehicles projected to be on American roads in 2024, 99% require oil changes. Despite the attention EVs receive, it’s expected to take several decades for them to outnumber gas-powered vehicles. According to the New York Times, analysts expect EVs to make up a quarter of new car sales in the U.S. by 2035, but only 13% of the vehicles on the road, because of older vehicles still in operation.
If and when EVs become the majority of vehicles on the road, we’ll be ready. EVs may not need engine oil, but they still need brake fluid, coolant, brakes pads, cabin air filters, batteries, and other routine maintenance items. SpeeDee is already studying the market for EV maintenance and developing plans for this eventual transition.

History
Founded in 1980, SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service has grown to more than 150 centers in the United States. The brand has flourished, thanks to a commitment to customer service, innovation, and driving strong ROI for franchisees. SpeeDee’s success is built upon the SpeeDee Performance Certified Program that requires our teams to deliver speed, quality, and a remarkable experience to every customer, at every service visit.
SpeeDee Oil Change & Auto Service is part of FullSpeed Automotive®, one of the largest and fastest-growing quick lube organizations not owned by an oil company. FullSpeed is focused on helping franchisees open new businesses while also acquiring auto service centers from independent operators who are ready to sell. The goal is to use economies of scale to boost purchasing power and support for every location — whether the location is owned by a franchisee or by FullSpeed Automotive itself.
SpeeDee believes that the best way to build a successful business is to instill a strong culture within the organization. We all rely on one another for the brand to be successful. We work hard every day to earn the trust of franchisees, just as you work to earn the trust of your customers and employees.
Ideal Candidate
SpeeDee offers tremendous franchise support to help you get started and grow your business. Even if you don’t have automotive repair experience and are simply exploring the industry because of its stability and strong margins, you can be assured that you will be backed by a large franchise support team dedicated to your success. We provide training, marketing support, and a wide range of tools to help you find customers and serve them well.
We look for people who have the drive to constantly improve, and the willingness to share ideas and ask questions. We look for people who treat others with respect, honesty, and consideration. We look for leaders who will empower their employees and who enjoy watching them develop new skills and advance their careers.
Each candidate must complete the path to ownership process. The process is designed to evaluate a potential partnership by helping you gain a deep understanding of the brand and culture and by helping us understand more about you. Part of that process includes your franchise sales representative pitching your skills, experience, and financials to our executive team. This team will determine if you are right for the brand and if you qualify. We don’t sell franchises — we award them to the right people who we feel would make a great SpeeDee franchisee.
