Kiddie Academy® Franchisees receive dedicated support from full-time subject matter experts who help open and operate Academies. Kiddie Academy’s experienced team helps Franchisees establish goals and offer the tools and training needed to achieve them. This includes support across site selection, financing, construction, marketing, technology, ongoing franchise support, multi-unit opportunities, and of course, franchise training designed by Kiddie Academy’s Learning and Development department. Kiddie Academy Franchisees are immediately introduced to helpful resources such as Kiddie Academy University, Kiddie Academy’s exclusive online learning platform. By the time Franchisees begin classroom and hands-on training at Kiddie Academy headquarters, they'll already have a strong sense of the Kiddie Academy brand and best practices. From there, they’ll learn all about Kiddie Academy’s proprietary Life Essentials® curriculum and its comprehensive operating practices.
History
Kiddie Academy® was founded in 1980 by George and Pauline Miller. As a mother and an educator, co-founder Pauline Miller’s vision was to provide better child care options. She developed the first version of Kiddie Academy’s proprietary curriculum with the opening of Kiddie Academy’s first location in Baltimore County, Maryland. In 1992, the first Kiddie Academy franchise opened. Its intention was to meet the demand for educational child care that nurtures and inspires children intellectually, emotionally, and physically. Since then, Kiddie Academy has opened 341 Academies and counting across 39 states and the District of Columbia. Kiddie Academy has also signed 52 new franchise agreements to-date and has 75+ locations in various stages of development. This steady growth will keep the momentum and expansion of the Kiddie Academy brand going for years to come.
