Training and Support
The Honest Abe Roofing training is comprehensive and continuous. Our onboarding process is an intensive 8-12 weeks of on-line and in-person training. A franchisee has access to Abe University and the over 700 instructional and training videos covering all aspects of the business. We have a training track for every position in the franchise as well as installation videos in English and Spanish for our subcontractors.
We provide sales training, operations training, and continuous support for your business.
The foundation of our sales success is our Prevent A No Sale system. This system was developed over the past 17 years to take a salesperson from hire to generating millions in sales quickly and efficiently. We train the franchisees and their managers in how to train the sales staff during the onboarding. After a franchise is open, we host weekly sales meetings for the inside and outside sales teams. All sales training is also available via our web portal.
The onboarding process prepares the franchisee to run a roofing operation. Once a franchisee finishes our training process, they are competent users of our proprietary CRM and BMS. In addition to training on our systems we train on operations processes and procedures, how to manage the installation process, and how to provide support to your customers and staff.
After the onboarding the franchise team provides ongoing support. Our franchisees have access to business coaching, sales coaching, and product experts on a 24/7/365 basis.
History
Kevin Newton founded Honest Abe Roofing in Terre Haute, IN in 2007. He sold the roofs, installed the roofs, and serviced his customers. His friendly demeanor combined with his extensive knowledge of roofing products and installation methods enabled him to quickly grow.
Kevin spent his time perfecting his sales skills and developing a repeatable installation process that would allow him to scale his business. He added staff and trained his employees in his methods. His business continued to grow, and he came to realize that his business model could help others obtain success.
In order to franchise Kevin developed the Prevent A No Sale training system, and he documented the processes and procedures needed to run a successful roofing franchise. He and his team developed an onboarding training program and prepared to sell the first franchise.
Don and Deborah Lanier purchased the first Honest Abe Roofing franchise in Evansville, IN in 2018. They generated over $4M in revenue in their first twelve months, and, as they say, the rest is history.
Our franchise system has expanded from Indiana to Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and Texas.
