History
Home Care Advocacy Network (HCAN) was founded with a deeply personal mission, shaped by the lived experiences of its founders in navigating the challenges of aging and disease within their own family. Mark Getz and Sierra Goetz, driven by their intimate struggles with Alzheimer's and dementia within their family, established HCAN to offer more compassionate, effective solutions for aging individuals wishing to remain in their homes with dignity. This vision was catalyzed by Mark's realization of the lack of adequate home care options when his stepmother was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's at 49. Their determination to redefine home care led to the formation of a company that not only prioritizes the quality of life for seniors but also supports the families caring for them.
From its inception, HCAN has grown by focusing on the intersection of heartfelt caregiving and strategic business practices. The company has blended two decades of industry knowledge with innovative business models to equip franchisees with the tools needed for success. The dedication to maintaining a strong cultural foundation—emphasizing the genuine success of others, the privilege of caregiving, and embracing innovation—has distinguished HCAN in the home care sector. As the company expands, it continues to seek entrepreneurs who are passionate about making a tangible difference in the lives of seniors. This approach not only fuels HCAN's growth but also ensures that its expansion upholds the integrity and quality that were foundational to its beginning.
