Training and Support
ComForCare franchise owners benefit from a multi-stage training process that includes self-study portions, hands-on virtual workshops, and location visits.
Phase One: Identify your market location, complete licensing and other state and municipality-specific requirements.
Phase Two: Online training covers your service offerings, billing practices for your business, as well as the foundational aspects of caregiver recruitment and training. Learn how to connect with potential clients, obtain referrals, and build your brand locally.
Phase Three: A two-week virtual training course will be offered to you. When possible, this will be held at our headquarters. This session takes a deeper dive into materials already covered, as well as new and comprehensive information on sales and marketing compliance.
Phase Four: Typically, this training occurs at your new location and brings together both the online and in-classroom training to date by finalizing office setup, launching caregiver recruitment, launching your ComForCare website, and conducting a competitive analysis for the marketplace to prepare your business for opening.
Training is guaranteed over the lifetime of your business. Our support teams are dedicated to your success in the areas of operations, sales and marketing. During your first year, there will be at least two field visits, more if needed. The entire corporate support team, including your dedicated business consultant, is accessible and responsive 24/7
History
When ComForCare opened its first location in Michigan in 1996, in-home senior care was an emerging industry. In the 20+ years since our founding, millions of families have relied on in-home care services to help their aging loved ones get the care they need and deserve. As an early entrant into the burgeoning in-home care industry, ComForCare quickly made a name for itself by creating thorough training programs designed to help franchise owners overcome a major obstacle: staff retention. Through its CaregiverFirst program, as well as a comprehensive hiring process and opportunities for certification and job growth, ComForCare has created a system that finds and keeps the best and most talented caregivers.
Ideal Candidate
When we talk to our franchise owners to understand what made them want to open a ComForCare franchise and hear their stories, most tell us they have a great respect for seniors, or they have had a personal connection to the industry because of their own aging parent. This is their chance to give back. ComForCare’s most successful franchise owners are highly compassionate and have the skills to build and develop a business that becomes an asset for them and their families. It takes more than a passion for service, however, and that’s why ComForCare has invested heavily in the candidate process, where we evaluate potential franchise owners — and we make sure they have plenty of time to evaluate ComForCare.
