We provide guidance, consultation, and hands-on, in-store training to all our franchisees throughout the entire onboarding process. We are firmly dedicated to giving you all the tools and support you need to be successful. History

Benito's Pizza, founded by Benito Mautone in 1979, is a family-owned and operated pizza chain. We started with one location in Belleville, Michigan and we've grown into a 19-store franchise operating in Michigan and Arizona. It is with a strong sense of family pride that Benito's strives to uphold an excellent reputation for serving high-quality pizza in a family-friendly environment. Benito was born in a small village in Southern Italy and migrated to the United States with many of his family members when he was 18 years old. He brought with him a strong work ethic, and a love of family, food, and hospitality. Benito took those passions and began working in the food service industry in his 20s, establishing Benito's Pizza as a high-end competitor in Southeast Michigan.

Benito's operated for many years as a single-unit takeout/delivery store offering pizza and pop on the menu. In 1991, Benito's opened their second location in Westland, Michigan. followed by the first franchise store in Sumpter Township in 1993, then the fourth store in Canton, Michigan in 1995. Around the year 2000, through the concentrated efforts of Benito and his sons, Jason, Michael, and Mauro, Benito's Pizza pursued a growth strategy with significant franchise expansion. This expansion saw the number of Benito's stores more than double under the leadership of Vice President and Director of Operations Jason Mautone. With this physical growth strategy came an increase in menu offerings. Benito's menu expanded to include calzones, subs, wings, pasta, salads, bread, and appetizers. As always, each item was carefully selected and produced with attention to quality and detail. Despite the menu expansion, our pizza remains the cornerstone of our business. Our signature pizza sauce blend and dough recipes developed by Benito remain the foundation of our business and the secret to our success.

Ideal Candidate

The most successful Benito's franchisees are highly dedicated, working hands-on in the store to maintain our commitment to customers and team members. Although it's not required, they often have food service management or ownership experience. Most importantly, they have a "can do" attitude and a commitment to exceeding expectations under any circumstances. They're involved in the community and foster a team environment. We don't cut corners, and our most successful franchises don't either. Times and technology have changed and we've kept pace with it, but we still have the same commitment to customers as we did when we opened our first store in 1979.
