The Archadeck team fully understands the role your success plays in the success of our home improvement franchise. The initial training program for Archadeck University is delivered by our team of franchise support professionals through a variety of mechanisms, including the following channels:
- Classroom training at our headquarters facility in Richmond, VA
- Field training in your local market
- Web-based training, including both recorded and interactive sessions
- Mid-year meetings with your fellow franchisees
- The Annual Meeting, which normally takes place in the January/February timeframe
Of course, once you are up and running, the training opportunities don’t stop there. During your first year of operation, you will receive multiple field visits from the Archadeck corporate support team to ensure that you are using the available tools, products, and services to good effect.

Archadeck Outdoor Living was founded in 1980 and has been delivering clients the decks of their dreams for more than 40 years. Archadeck Outdoor Living began franchising in 1984 and now has over 80 locations throughout the United States. Archadeck Outdoor Living is headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. We have 80 employees at headquarters to support all our franchisee's needs and to ensure support as we continue to grow throughout the U.S. in open markets. Our Validation and Discovery process is designed to ensure that the fit is right for both of us – you as a potential franchisee and Archadeck Outdoor Living as the franchisor.
We’re looking for franchise candidates who possess the following qualities:

- A passion for the outdoor living category

- Sufficient start-up capital
Last but not least, one of the most important qualities to maintain when pursuing an Archadeck franchise is strong interpersonal and/or communication skills. While construction experience and creative skills aren’t necessary to begin, franchisees must readily be able to convey the benefits of our design recommendations to prospective clients to close the sale.
