Competition
Located on the main road (a state highway through a small town), we are a planned stop for many Texas/out-of-state travelers. Easy street parking whether a single vehicle, pulling a camper or a large gravel truck. Only from scratch bakery in the area. Coffee shops within a few blocks, as well as a donut shop that opened within the last year. The local grocery store does not have an in-house bakery. Our town is home to privately owned restaurants. A Subway shop is located in a gas station. Walmart, City Market and other stores are 45 miles away.
Growth & Expansion
Since we are family owned and operated, we have chosen to limit our hours. The bakery is currently open for 7 hours for 5 days a week. Hours could be expanded. We have used tons of flour and sugar - the sky's the limit on possible food products. There is a potential for catering - both specific items or full menus. Event & wedding locations as well as air B&Bs host visitors and tourists - we have not pursued this resource. We have declined requests from multiple restaurants for weekly baked items.
